Juicy graphics, delicious fun and full of vitamin C. It is already my favourite Kart Racer on pc - but there are also lots of future good stuff in the pipeline. The game works 'accidentally' in VR (I am guessing that the devs were not even aware of this!). The only thing that does not work in VR are the menus - but a youtuber (backed up by me and a couple of other guys) contacted the Devs about this and within hours they were on the case and full VR implementation is promised real soon (which, for one I believe, as these devs do not sit there twiddling their thumbs). Someone else asked for a cockpit view 'sure' said the devs, and this too is coming in the next update. So, the devs are active and responsive - I bought the game to support them because of this. I am really glad I did, it is a blast. A good solid (And very pretty) Kart racer that tick all the boxes and can be played in cockpit view *and* in VR - a dream come true. The only issue I have at the moment is that booting the game somehow boots my rift and diverts the sound through the rift headphones. Not an issue for me, as it is too good in VR to play it on a flat screen. Again, the devs say that are fixing it for the next update (and I believe them). Good solid game with active development team - highly recommended.. We really looked forward to playing this, however we could not find a way to play this in split screen with a keyboard and a steam controller and after tens of minutes of frustration just gave up. Such a shame.. It's a good game, a very, very solid base, with a few drawbacks than may or may not be subject to change - only time will tell. It's visually appealing, the artstyle is great, and it runs fluently on even weaker machines (I tried it on my AMD-7700k APU and it worked). Clearly, the developer put a lot of effort into the game. It needs a little bit more polish, but it's far, far from buggy.Thankfully, you don't need to rely on my word for it - the dev has put out a demo that you can try for free, and I advise you to use that opportunity.However, there's some criticism too: Collision physics are not there yet, and the handling might need a tuning.With the product I've seen so far, I'm confident that the devs will release a compelling product. But again, why are you reading this? Click "Play Demo" and see for yourself.. This is a pretty good kart game, especially for one that came out of nowhere from a new indie dev. Mechanically it works well enough, though it lacks the level of depth in the mechanics that you would expect from, say, any given Mario Kart. It's still pretty enjoyable, even playing singleplayer "career" mode, once you've cleared the first few painfully easy cups.Unfortunately, while I'd like to consider that fair praise and move on- there's so much promise here that's just out of reach!I'd love to see some more complexity added for the people that desire it. Tricks or wheelies or who knows what- just something to provide a higher level of play for the kart-racing fans.In the audio department... where do I start. The audio is far and away the weakest part of the game. Honestly I'd love to see a whole new soundtrack brought in that brings a higher level of excitement and energy. Also there's a lot of cheap-sounding or stock sound effects and poor quality voice clips that aught to be replaced. It strikes me as though a lot of this was put in as placeholders, and then at some point it was just decided that, eh, it's good enough, right? After a few cups I ended up shutting the in-game music off so that I could listen to livelier soundtracks.Finally, the graphics. I've absolutely nothing but praise for the aesthetics, however I can't help but feel that the way they are rendered does them a diservice. Maybe this is more personal preference, beyond some stiff character animations that could use a bit more work. I played with the settings, turning everything all the way up, then tweaking things up and down to preference, but nothing looked right, and the highest settings seemed to make the game look more washed out. Somehow the colors look more saturated to me in the store screenshots than they do in the actual game on any setting, but beyond that I feel like some optional shaders wouldn't hurt. I'd love to see things pop more than they do currently. A graphical mode that embraced a more cell-shaded, cartoony look would do wonders. Maybe even try an outline around things similar to what Borderlands does.I'd love to see the devs keep refining and polishing this game to make it a stand-out title that really feels unique when compared with its competition. I understand if that's not an option, but it would certainly be nice to see the game go from just OK to an easy recommendation.. Easy to learn but hard to master, choose your character, customize your kart and play the way that tempts you most!. I've always wanted to play Sugar Rush from Wreck-it Ralph, and this is the closest I've ever been.Worth it.. Totally love this game!Pro:+ Challenging AI+ Fruits, Colours and Fun+ Split-Screen up to 4 players! (very rare mode on nowadays games)Cons:- Some localization issues- Online mode still in development, I wanna beat my friends online! :)- Normally I'd say "price too high" but since there are a very huge amount of contents (most of them will be unlocked through EA) I think the price will be fine if all promises will be maintained.. Fun game. Good graphics. Wish there were more tracks and more online presence would good.
